Deejo Knife Review [Top 8 List Of Deejo Knives!]…

deejo knife review

Some knives are built for function…

They care little about aesthetics, and they’re designed to cut, slice, and chop with maximum performance…

Other knives are all about their looks but can’t really handle the duties of a working knife…

Then there are those knives that combine the two. They look refreshing, sleek, and unique, and they can handle being used every day to cut and slice…

The big question is… where do Deejo knives fit into the mix…?

That’s a great question, and in this Deejo knife review, I’m going to answer it by giving you a full rundown of what these knives have to offer…

In addition to that, I’ll also be sharing with you my list of the Top 8 best Deejo knives that are currently available…

By the end, you should have a clear understanding of what sets Deejo knives apart from other popular knife manufacturers, and you’ll also be able to decide which Deejo knife is going to work best for you…

Let’s jump into it!

Deejo Knife Review – Is Deejo A Good Knife…?

Deejo knives are affordable knives that function well in an everyday carry role. They’re famous for their decorative tattoos, interesting handle materials, and minimalist frame lock design. They also feature a drop point Z40C13 stainless steel blade and come in a 37 gram or 27 gram version…

Below, I’ll provide more detail about all the different features that you get when you pick up a Deejo knife, and at the very end, I’ll share with you my list of the Top 8 Best Deejo knives that are currently out there…

Let’s begin by discussing the blade material and shape of these knives in a little more detail…

Blade Material And Shape…

Most of the Deejo knives that I have seen feature Z40C13 Stainless Steel blades. This is a good, affordable blade steel in my opinion because it’s easy to sharpen, does a good job at resisting corrosion, and can handle most everyday carry knife tasks…

In addition to that, these knives have a drop point blade which is always a welcomed classic blade shape for me, and they have a hollow ground blade…

Now, Deejo is a french company, and these knives were created with outdoor use in mind. So in my opinion, they would function really well as everyday carry knives or even for light use in a camping or outdoors setting.

Blade Tattoos…

One of the most distinctive characteristics that you get with Deejo knives is the various tattoos that they offer on their blades. These tattoos (as Deejo calls them) are a form of laser etching, and they really make these blades stand out from the crowd…

Below, I’ll share with you my top 8 list of the best Deejo knives. So you’ll be able to see the tattoos that I like the most, but there are tons and tons of different options that you can choose from…

Now, you can get Deejo knives without the tattoos, and they will still be very unique looking because of the minimalist handle design, but I personally love the addition of the tattoos because it makes them even more of a unique piece that screams high-end while still remaining at an affordable price-point.

Handle Materials…

As I’ve been saying throughout this review, these Deejo knives are minimal and lightweight and that certainly rings true for their handles as well…

Now the handles on these knives are small, but true to Deejo’s form, they can really make these knives interesting and unique…

In fact, Deejo offers a ton of handle material options including Juniper, Rosewood, Grenadilla, Ebony, Olive Wood, Carbon Fiber, Tortoise Shell, Coral Wood, and more…

One of the most popular options is the Juniper, but I think pretty much all of them look great, and no matter what your particular style is, Deejo probably has a handle material that will fit you.

Locking Mechanism…

Deejo calls the locking mechanism a on their knives a liner lock, but I think its more accurate to call it a frame lock…

Either way, the blade lock out is very sturdy and very strong, and everything seems to be fitted well with these Deejo knives.

Sizes…

Deejo knives come in a variety of sizes, but the two most common are the 37 gram (1.3 oz.) version and the 27 gram (0.9 oz.) version…

Out of the two, my favorite is the larger 37 gram (1.3 oz.) version which has an overall length of 8 inches. The blade accounts for 3.75 inches of that overall length, and the handle accounts for the final 4.25 inches…

In addition to that, the handle measures in at 0.24 inches, and the blade comes in at 0.07 inches thick.

Clip And Carry…

Deejo knives have a not reversable clip and are designed for tip down carry only. I’m not super picky about carrying tip up or tip down so that’s not a problem for me…

…but if you’re not a fan of tip down carry, these knives might not be the best option for your EDC.

Final Thoughts – Is Deejo A Good Knife…?

So to sum it all up, I think Deejo knives are very interesting and good knives. I love the unique design, the cool tattoos, and the interesting handle and handle materials…

I also think the Z40C13 Stainless Steel featured in the blade is a good, affordable blade steel, and as I mentioned before, these knives will function well in an EDC or light outdoor-use role…

Last, even though these knives do function well, if you choose to pick one up, you’ll have a very unique knife that stands out from the crowd and gets your buddies asking questions about it…

Oh, and they’re affordable too, which is not always the case with knives that look this sleek…

I love classic motocycles. Even if you don’t ride them, they just emit a certain level of coolness, and because the Cafe Racer Tattoo on this knife features that clean classic look, this knife automatically inherits (and gives off) the same cool vibe…

I love this knife because the artwork on the tatoo is extremely clean, and the way it’s accented with the ebony handles is just perfect in my opinion. I love it and think it’s really badass.

Another one of my favorites from Deejo is the Lion Pattern Tattoo. For centuries lions have represented strength and courage across a wide variety of cultures, and they’re just cool, powerful animals…

As usual with all of these Deejo knives, the lion artwork is extremely clean and the Coral Wood handle adds a slightly reddish wood color that makes the knife pop. All in all, it’s another really cool option.

Another really cool option is the Terra Incognita Deejo. This knife has an olive wood handle which is a little lighter in color, and the the map and compass design of the tattoo is really classic…

Terra Incognita actually means ‘unknown or unexplored land’, and this knife has the same courageous spirit as the early explorers who sailed around the globe.

Number 5 on the list is the Deejo knife with a Polynesian Pattern tattoo and a Coral Wood handle. I’m not Polynesian, but I just find the artwork and design on this knife to be pretty cool…

I also kind of like that this knife is in black and that the pattern is worked into the black background which contrasts really well with the Coral Wood handle. All in all, it’s just another cool-looking knife from Deejo.

The next knife on my list has the Art Deco Tattoo, and this is one that I like just because of the cool pattern it has on the blade…

Once again, the base of this knife is black and that allows the architectural Art Deco design to really pop when you look at it…

You also get a Juniper Wood handle which contrasts nicely with the black and is my favorite handle material on these Deejo knives.

Number 7 on the list is the black Deejo knife with a Viking Dragon tattoo. This knife obviously looks badass, but it’s also a little different because it has a half-serrated blade…

In addition to that, the handle on this knife is made from carbon fiber which gives the knife a completely different feel and appearance than a wooden handle does, and I really like the sleek vibe that it gives off.

8. Make A Wish W/ Coral Wood (1.3 OZ)

The last knife on my list features the Make A Wish pattern. I like the imagery and kind of whimsical feel that this image gives off…

I also like the pop of color that you get with the Coral Wood handle, and overall, this knife has a really delicate image on it, but it can handle all the cutting tasks of an average everyday carry knife. And that’s kind of an interesting contrast in my mind.
